Painting works, including oil painting, color pencil painting and water color painting, created by residents Xu Yanping and Huang Huan are on display at Anting Town Library. Both Xu, the librarian in Anting Library, and Huang, the reader are enthusiasts on arts and welcome the public to watch the show.

Chinese Artworks
A woman in Jiading District’s Juyuan New Area is hosting an exhibition to showcase father Zhang Jinming’s creation of traditional Chinese ink brush paintings and calligraphy. The theme of this exhibition is “Impression” featuring more than 100 pieces of artworks on display. In his creation, the senior Zhang expresses the faith that a small brush can paint a beautiful world.

Treasures From Grassland
Cultural heritages from Baotou City in northern China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region are showcased in Jiading. Baotou, in the west of Inner
Mongolia, is fertile and beautiful. This is the main stage of northern prairie national activities. Grassland civilization and Yellow River civilization add radiance and beauty in Baotou. This exhibition displays over 80 pieces of cultural relics, including Tibetan Buddhist thangka, rock painting, historic relics. These exhibits are the reflection of culture communication between the north and the middle area in China and one of the most important parts among China’s 5,000 years’ history. It represents the historical background of Baotou and opens a window for the audience to know more about the grassland civilization.
